The Due Diagnostic
For when you need an independent view of where a programme stands and what is straining it.
What I do
- Interview you and the people leading the work, one to one.
- Run a due diligence session in which your team shows what the programme's key commitments rest on and I question it as an outsider would.
- Present what I found to you in person.
What you get
- My independent judgement on where the programme stands against the objectives we agreed.
- A short ranked list of what is straining it.
- Each item marked as something you can change or something you have to plan around.
- A practical roadmap covering what to deal with first and which decisions are yours to make.
The Due Intervention
For when you want me alongside you and your team while the roadmap is carried out. Includes the Diagnostic.
What I do
- Meet your team each week as they work through the roadmap, and question progress on every item.
- Work one to one with the leads who own the items.
- Sit in on the meetings where the work is reviewed and decided, and recommend changes where I see them.
- Bring you the constraints that only you can change, set out as cost and dates.
- Talk with you regularly about progress against the objectives we agreed.
What you get
- My independent view each week of progress against those objectives.
- My recommendation on each item as your team works through it, including how to plan around the ones that can't be changed.
- The decisions that are yours to make, brought to you early with the cost and dates attached.
High-Consequence Strategic Advisor
For when you want an independent adviser on call for the decisions that follow. Includes the Diagnostic and the Intervention, and runs for a minimum of 90 days.
What I do
- Take your calls and messages, with no limit on how often, and answer with my reasons by the next working day.
- Challenge your plans and argue the other side of key decisions before you make them.
- Give you an outside opinion when a regulator, a customer or your board challenges you, or when something goes wrong.
- Repeat the Diagnostic later, at a point you choose.
What you get
- A straight, independent answer with my reasons by the next working day.
- An adviser who already knows your programme.
- A second reading of the programme to set against the first.
How I work
Everything happens in conversations and live sessions, by video or in person, with your people showing their own material on their own screens. Nothing is sent to me and I need no access to your systems. I don't write your documents or do your engineering, and that work stays with your team. Everything is covered by a confidentiality agreement.
Fees
Fees are value-based. Each is a fixed fee set against what getting the programme moving is worth to you, agreed before I start and never tied to days or hours.
Objectives
Every programme is different, so the results are not listed on this page. Before I start, you and I agree the objectives for your programme, how each will be measured and what reaching them is worth to you. Those go in a short proposal with these three options and a fixed fee for each.
