What we do

We provide the foundational hazard identification and methodology that allows a duty-holder to make a defensible decision about fire, explosion and major accident risk. The scope is qualitative and evidence-led, with no requirement for us to own or operate CFD software.

Our work can include HAZID and HAZOP chairing, qualitative fault trees, identification of barriers and escalation paths, consequence reasoning, and analytical ALARP justifications. We set out the assumptions, limitations and evidence needed to support the decision.

If complex computer simulation is required, the client hosts the relevant licence or provides the raw model data. We define how that analysis should answer the safety question and integrate its result into the wider hazard argument.
