Periodic Review and Safety Case Remediation
A structured review of legacy safety cases that identifies compliance gaps and turns them into a proportionate remediation roadmap.
What we do
Periodic review exposes the gap between an older safety case and the current plant, standards and evidence base. We assess that gap in a structured way so the client can understand what needs to change and why.
The work identifies changes to the facility, changes in regulatory expectation, missing or weak evidence, and claims that no longer have a reliable traceability chain. We then build a prioritised remediation roadmap using gap-analysis spreadsheets, updated checklists and clear ownership of the remaining work.
Where remediation proceeds, we help reconstruct the argument, recover or replace evidence and restore currency without treating every legacy document as a full rewrite. The result is a proportionate route from review findings to a defensible safety case.
Who this is for
Operating and decommissioning sites, life extension programmes and organisations preparing for periodic review, inspection or relicensing.
